SRC Supports BRVGS Engineering Students

SRC, "a not-for-profit, research and development company that develops unique, creative solutions for nationally significant challenges in defense, environmental and intelligence," recently donated $1000.00 to BRVGS to support tuition costs for 19 BRVGS students enrolled in the Fall 2011 UVa/BRVGS "Explorations in Engineering" course.  Pictured is Ms. Deborah Harvey presenting a check to BRVGS Director Marc Carraway.  Many thanks to SRC for their support of the next generation of scientists and engineers!

BRVGS Seniors Kick Off 2011-12 School Year

After a rocky start to the school year for many BRVGS districts, Blue Ridge Seniors came together at Best Western on Sept. 8th to kick off their senior internship, research and community service projects.  Students discussed project guidelines, defined "significance" and "quality", and shared project ideas.  This was the last gathering of this class of BRVGS students until their Senior Expo, which will take place on May 11, 2012.  We wish the best of luck to all of these students with their senior projects!
