Current BRVGS 10th and 11th graders have received an email this week from Ms Liz Goodwin, our Online Learning Coordinator, with a link to an informational video and other important “things to know” about the process for requesting BRVGS 11th and 12th grade courses for next year. You can see that video at: https://youtu.be/7ewfUzzvnlw
As part of the process for scheduling next year’s BRVGS courses, I encourage you to talk with your BRVGS student about their future plans and goals, as well as the specific course options available in our Program of Studies. As a reminder to parents, BRVGS pays for all tuition and texts, etc., for all of the courses listed in the BRVGS Program of Studies.
Please encourage your BRVGS student to check his or her BRVGS email going forward.
By the end of this week, BRVGS administrators will email out a worksheet to students to help them work through the decision process for choosing classes. We suggest that parents and students review that sheet together.
We will also send other important information as we move forward with this process and get closer to the date of the actual course request process, which will take place on March 10th, 11th and 12th via a Course Request Form that will be directly emailed to students.
We will send out a reminder to students and parents as the course request dates get closer. In the meantime, please feel free to contact Ms. Liz Goodwin at lgoodwin@brvgs.k12.va.us or me at mcarraway@brvgs.k12.va.us for any questions regarding the BRVGS course request process.
