BRVGS Juniors and Sophomores,
I am pleased to be notifying you to the launch of the course request process for BRVGS Online Courses for next year. Hopefully, you have already reviewed BRVGS graduation requirements and available courses in our Program of Studies, and have planned out the courses that you plan to take for BRVGS credit for next year. Please read through this post carefully before going to fill out the form below, so that you completely understand some important information:
First, you will have all day Wednesday, all day Thursday, and up until the end of the school day on Friday (March 10th-12th) to complete this form. The time that you submit this form will have absolutely no impact on whether or not you get into a course, as long as it is done by 3:30 on Friday.
To clarify a bit more, if there are more students requesting a course than there are slots in a class, those slots will be determined by lottery - so students submitting requests on Thursday or Friday have the same chance of getting into a course as students who submit their requests on Wednesday. That means you have plenty of time to contact me and Ms. Goodwin or your counselor for any questions that come up as you work on your course requests.
Second thing - because BRVGS students have so many options for getting BRVGS credit, the scheduling form is pretty darned complicated (sorry!), with lots of different sections. We have put together a BRVGS Scheduling Outline Document that shows all the sections and the questions you will be asked. Please read through that document before opening and completing the BRVGS Scheduling Form linked below, and let me and Ms. Goodwin know of any questions.
If you would like to talk "live" to me or Ms. Goodwin as you are working on this, please email us both to request a live meeting or a phone call. If we are clear, we will send you a link for an immediate meeting, or will call your number (and if you request a phone call, please remember to send us your phone number!). If we are not clear when you email, one of us will send you our next available time for a meeting.
Again, please feel free to email me and Ms. Goodwin with any questions regarding courses or how to submit this form, etc.. We will be standing by for student emails for the rest of the week, and we love to hear your questions! We will be back in touch as soon as possible to let you and counselors know which courses you got into, so please stay tuned for that.

Good luck with the course request process! Take care and stay well -
