Virginia Film Festival Seeks Entries from Student Directors

Interested in filmmaking? The Virginia Film Festival is seeking entries from Virginia high school filmmakers for their 4th annual  ACTION! The VFF’s High School Director Competition. Prize money amounting to $2000 will be awarded to winners of the event.

The contest is open to rising 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th grade students who are current residents of the Commonwealth of Virginia, ACTION! will award three (3) prizes to best director or directing teams to support  winning students’ continued film education.  The Grand Prize is $1,000, and two (2) Runner-Up Prizes are $500 each.

Submissions are due Wednesday, August 19, 2015 through an electronic entry form which includes a video link to the film. Contest rules and the online entry form can be found at www.virginiafilmfestival.org/action
