Events This Week: May 5 - 9, 3013

As schools gear up for end-of-year-testing mode, field trips and activities slow down. The BRVGS student calendar of events reflects a change in focus this week. On Tuesday, May 6th, BRVGS Computer Science students convene at the University of Virginia's Clemons Library for a group projects work session. Students attending this session will be from Madison, Nelson, and Orange counties.

Mark your calendars for the BRVGS Senior Expo to be held on Friday, May 17th at the Taylor Education Administration Complex, 200 Dailey Drive, in Orange.

Events This Week: April 29 - May 3, 2013

Monday’s scheduled Chesapeake Bay Foundation trip for BRVGS AP Biology students at William Monroe High School was cancelled due to inclement weather. May 22 is a tentative reschedule date, but more information will be forthcoming. 

Semester presentations will be given by BRVGS World History students from Fluvanna, Goochland, Louisa, and Nelson counties on Tuesday, April 30th. These will be held in the Fluvanna County School Board auditorium, beginning at 9:00 a.m. Parents are cordially invited to attend. 

The Blue Ridge Virtual Governor’s School Joint Board will meet on Wednesday, May 1st at 1:00 p.m. at Best Western Zion Crossroads.  Click on “BRVGS Board Draft Agenda May 2013” to view the meeting agenda. 

World History students from Greene, Madison, and Orange counties will give semester presentations on Thursday, May 2nd. This event will be held in the Madison County High School auditorium, beginning at 9:00 a.m. Parents are encouraged to attend. 

Goochland seniors give their Senior Presentations this Friday, May 3rd in Studio B at Goochland High School, beginning at 9:30 a.m. Students will show media presentations and discuss project research, internships, and community service.
