Orientation Correction!
Parents of incoming 9th grade BRVGS students recently received a letter with information regarding the BRVGS Freshman Orientation, which will be held on July 24th. The letter inadvertently listed "Thursday, July 24th" as the day of the week for that event - which might cause some confusion, as the 24th of July actually falls on a Wednesday this year.
The actual date of the BRVGS Freshman Orientation will be Wednesday, July 24th. We apologize for any confusion or inconvenience resulting from this misinformation.
BRVGS Google Apps Login Issues
BRVGS Users may find an odd redirect when logging into thier Google Apps accounts. If you experience this issue, simply go to www.google.com and click on the "Sign In" link in the upper right corner if you do not see your email address there. If you do already see your BRVGS email address simply click on the tool you would like to use in the black bar at the top of the window.
Expo Photos Spotlight Seniors’ Success
More than 80 BRVGS seniors, 30 adult evaluators, and many parents, teachers, BRVGS graduates, and other guests attended the 2013 Senior Exposition held Friday, May 17th at the Taylor Education Administration Complex in Orange.
Evaluators interviewed seniors about their research, experiences with mentors, and community service projects. The adult evaluation teams also reviewed websites and displays created by the seniors.

Expo to Showcase Senior Research, Internships, Service
What did you do in school today? “I taught the first annual engineering class for females at the middle school.”
More than 80 high school seniors from seven area schools can give equally impressive responses when they showcase their long-term internship, research and community service projects at the Blue Ridge Virtual Governor’s School 10th annual BRVGS Senior Exposition. The Expo will be held on Friday, May 17, 2013, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at the Taylor Education Administration Complex, 200 Dailey Dr., Orange, Virginia.
Students from Fluvanna, Greene, Madison, Nelson, Louisa, Orange, and Goochland counties will display and present information on a wide variety of project topics such as architecture, criminal justice, music, medicine, water management, aerospace, and theater, just to name a few. The Expo provides an opportunity for seniors enrolled in the program to share results of their individual academic journeys.
