Important Information:

• Payment - All orders need to be paid for online.  These items are offered at cost.  

• Deadline for orders is August 30th - no late orders accepted. 

• Delivery - Your items will be delivered to the student’s school a couple weeks after the deadline, so you MUST make sure to put GRADE LEVEL and HIGH SCHOOL NAME on the form in the NOTES section. This will let us know where to deliver the items you ordered.

BRVGS Study Skills Session

BRVGS held a first-ever student and parent study skills session on July 25.  We had a great turnout as BRVGS staff and teachers talked about "Big-Picture" planning, how to craft a study plan, skills for reading, test preparation and writing, as well as info on the psychological side of high-stakes academics.  The Google Slide presentation, with live links to resources, can be found by clicking on "BRVGS Study Skills Presentation"

In addition, we have recorded a voice-over version of that presentation, broken down in modules that can be accessed by clicking on their titles below:

• Introduction and Goal-Setting
• Crafting a Study Plan
• Checklists and Online Learning
• Reading, Test Prep and Writing
• The Psychology of Academics

Students and parents are invited to review the above materials, and are recommended to craft a Parent/Student Study Plan together.  A copy of a Study Plan Template can be found be clicking on BRVGS Parent/Student Study Plan.

BRVGS Orientation for Incoming 9th Graders

Incoming BRVGS 9th graders are invited to attend one of the BRVGS Freshman Orientations listed below.  Please note that attendance at the BRVGS Orientation is encouraged for our new students, but is not required. The Orientation dates and locations are:

Louisa woman named farm ambassador

Virginia Farm Bureau Federation named Chelsea Bickley, of Kents Store, the 2019 Virginia Farm Bureau Ambassador at its annual Women’s Spring Conference in Bristol, Va. on March 30.

The Farm Bureau Ambassador program recognizes young adults for their interest and achievements in agriculture, and provides an opportunity to serve as an ambassador for agriculture and the farm bureau. Finalists are nominated by their county farm bureaus.
