BRVGS SUMMER WORK
HERE is the Summer Work found on our website for the BRVGS World History course your child will take next school year.
It is due the first day of school.
Please share this information with your child since most schools do not allow students to receive emails from outside their organization.
Your child will get a BRVGS email account at the beginning of school.
BRVGS FRESHMEN ORIENTATION
Incoming BRVGS Freshman are invited to attend one of the BRVGS Freshman Orientations listed below. Please note that attendance at Freshman Orientation is encouraged, but is not required.
The Freshman Orientation dates and locations are:
Thursday, July 9th, from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM, at the Best Western 135 Wood Ridge Terrace, Zion Crossroads, VA, 22942
Recommended for Goochland, Greene, Louisa, and Madison
Monday, July 13th, from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM, at the Best Western 135 Wood Ridge Terrace, Zion Crossroads, VA, 22942
Recommended for Fluvanna, Nelson, and Orange
HERE is the Freshmen Orientation RSVP form we ask you to complete for your child by June 30th.
Please note again:
Some of the 9th grade BRVGS teachers will be at each of the orientations.
Both orientation days will feature the exact same content, so students should only plan to attend one.
If your child can’t attend the recommended date for your county, attendance at the other orientation is fine but transportation is not provided.
If students are riding the bus they have to bring a signed bus permission form with them to get on the bus.
The BRVGS Freshman Orientation is for students and teachers only. The purpose is to introduce new students to their classmates from other BRVGS districts, to provide an overview of their upcoming BRVGS World History course, to get them started with BRVGS technology, and to begin student training on some of the learning skills specific to BRVGS.
Students should dress in school appropriate attire and comfortably.
A free pizza lunch will be provided. Please let us know of dietary restrictions.
Your child will not receive this email so please share this information with them.
Parent Information Sessions
We are offering two online Parent Information Sessions in August.
Tuesday, August 11th, from 8:00 PM to 9:00 PM online
Thursday, August 13th, from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM online
Joining information will be shared closer to the session dates.
