BRVGS Senior Capstone Virtual Expo - PUBLIC WELCOME!

Blue Ridge Virtual Governor’s School

Is pleased to announce our

2020 Virtual Senior Expo

To be held the entire week of April 27 - May 1, 2020

BRVGS welcomes the public and members of the BRVGS community to participate in our 2020 Virtual Expo by viewing and providing feedback on our Seniors’ Project Websites.   Each student participating in the Expo has accomplished a related internship, research and community service project, which will be reflected in information, pictures, journals, research paper and logs on their website.

Normally, these students would share their projects in an in-person, end-of-year Senior Expo.  As we know, though, these are not normal times - so we are conducting this year's Expo online.  BRVGS Seniors were given the opportunity to complete their senior internship projects by submitting their websites and a project overview (video, slideshow, etc.).  The Virtual Expo will feature the sites of those who chose to participate.

For everyone, this is an opportunity to support these students, who have all done internships, research and community service on a wide variety of interesting and important topics, and to help us to recognize them for their amazing accomplishments.  The feedback provided through this process will also help these students to learn and grow for the future.

How to participate:

  1. Review the Evaluation Criteria for student websites by clicking on BRVGS Virtual Expo "Look-Fors"

  2. Access the full list of student participants in the Expo by clicking on: BRVGS Virtual Expo Students and Site Links.

  3. Access any student’s website by clicking on the website address to the right of his or her home division on the spreadsheet linked above.

  4. Submit your review for that student by clicking on the BRVGS Virtual Expo Feedback Form PUBLIC and submitting your feedback by 4:00 PM on May 1st.

Feel free to review as many students as you like.  The feedback that they receive from evaluators and the public will be shared with students and their advisors.

Please feel free to contact BRVGS Director Marc Carraway at mcarr1@brvgs.k12.va.us with any question you might have about the BRVGS Virtual Senior Expo.

Thanks in advance to those of you who choose to support our students through your participation in this process!
