The AP Biology class from William Monroe High School had the chance for a rare visit to Botanique, a carnivorous and rare plant nursery in Greene. Students were shown a number of different plants notable for their ability to attract and capture insects. These plants are also attracting attention for their possible medical uses as well.
The trip was arranged by WMHS senior Suzanne Laliberte, as part of her senior intership, research and community service project. Students had an enoyable and informative visit, thanks to Suzanne and the Botanique staff! To view all pics from the trip, go to Botanique Field Trip 2013.
