BRVGS World History Classes Travel to Washington, D.C.

“Looking at those [Auschwitz] shoes, the pain the entire Jewish culture must have felt came alive for me.” This is one student’s response following his visit to the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum. Last week all BRVGS World History classes traveled to Washington, D.C. to see the Holocaust museum, as well as the World War II Memorial, the Korean War Veterans Memorial, and the Vietnam Veterans Memorial.
Another student wrote, “The Korean War really is The Forgotten War...The men that went through this war have tales to tell, and many of them go unheard.”
“The Vietnam War was one of the most controversial wars in history. It is only suitable that the memorial for that war is controversial as well,” was a student’s response to the Vietnam Memorial wall.
